At Minty Media & Minty Hosting, we take the security of websites and online stores very seriously. In response to the recently disclosed critical security vulnerabilities in PHP, we have immediately taken steps to protect our customers’ websites and online stores as effectively as possible.
What's going on?
Two critical security vulnerabilities in PHP have been disclosed (CVE-2026-109618 and CVE-2026-109619). PHP is a widely used programming language on which WordPress and WooCommerce, among others, run. The vulnerabilities have a severity score of 9.2 on a scale of 10, posing a significant security risk. Attackers could potentially exploit these vulnerabilities to gain unauthorized access to servers, upload malicious files, or execute their own code. According to initial reports, multiple PHP versions are vulnerable, and the first attempts at exploitation have already been observed.
What measures have we taken?
Immediately after these vulnerabilities were disclosed, we began implementing additional security measures within our hosting environment.
We have now taken the following steps:
Preventive security measures: On our servers, we have proactively disabled the relevant component of PHP in which, according to initial analyses, the vulnerabilities are present. This significantly reduces the risk of exploitation. Intensive monitoring: Our servers are checked every five minutes for possible signs of exploitation or suspicious activity. Emergency PHP update: A security update for PHP is expected to be released today at 4:00 p.m. As soon as it becomes available, we will install it on our servers as quickly as possible. Continuity: We strive to implement all necessary security measures and updates without causing any noticeable interruptions to our customers’ websites and online stores.
What does this mean for your website or online store?
If your website or online store is hosted by Minty Hosting, you don’t need to take any action at this time. We handle the necessary security measures, closely monitor developments, and implement the required updates as soon as they become available. Do you also have websites or online stores hosted by another provider? If so, we recommend contacting that provider to inquire about the measures they are taking. We continue to monitor the situation The security and continuity of our hosting services are our top priority. We continue to closely monitor developments regarding these vulnerabilities and will take additional measures as necessary.
