How long does a Microsoft 365 migration take?
That depends on the number of users, the amount of data, and the current environment. A few IMAP mailboxes can often be migrated quickly, while a larger environment or tenant-to-tenant migration requires more preparation. After the assessment, you will receive a schedule.
Will I lose any emails during the migration?
No, that’s exactly what we prevent with proper preparation. We migrate the existing mailboxes in a controlled manner and don’t switch over until an agreed-upon time. After the switch, we verify that emails are being sent and received correctly.
Can I transfer my calendars and contacts as well?
Where technically possible, yes. Whether calendars and contacts can be transferred depends on your current environment. We’ll look into this during the assessment.
Which Microsoft 365 license do I need?
That depends on your needs. For email and online Office apps, Business Basic is often sufficient; Business Standard also includes the desktop versions of Office; and Business Premium offers additional security. We’d be happy to advise you on which plan to choose.
Does my domain name have to be registered with Minty Hosting?
No. We can also update DNS records with another provider, provided we have access or you make the changes yourself. If your domain is registered with Minty Hosting, we'll take care of the DNS settings for you right away.
